As experts in collaboration, we’re able to facilitate open innovation, locally.
Large established organisations are facing tough challenges to reach Net Zero. SMEs based within the Lambeth borough can help address them. The Innovation Challenge is a fully funded opportunity for SMEs and Established Businesses to find one another and partner in a short term programme to explore the application of cutting edge solutions.

Low Carbon Buildings
For example addressing challenges such as Ventilation, Energy Performance, Operations and Insulation.

Waste & Circular Economy
For example addressing challenges such as Eliminating Single Use, Waste & Recycling and Reduction of Plastics.

Behaviour Change
For example addressing challenges such as Visitor Monitoring and Tenant Empowerment.

Low Carbon Mobility
For example, visitor transportation and low carbon freight.
To take part in the challenge, you will be:

Able to apply your solution within Lambeth Borough

Excited to pitch to a number of established organisations in Lambeth Borough

Willing to invest time (~6 hours) to understanding the needs of a partner organisation (and potential customer)

Interested in finding opportunities to collaborate through Trials, Shared Learning and Commercial Relationships

Apply to be shortlisted for the Innovation Challenge
Complete a short questionnaire to introduce us to your offering and the theme it supports. Sustainable Ventures will shortlist the most relevant innovations in the Borough.

Be invited to pitch to organisations on how your innovation addresses their need
Attend the matching day to show case your offering and to meet with decision makers in each Established Business.

Collaborate with the Established Business
Sustainable Ventures will facilitate 3 months (~6 hours) of constructive engagement between Established Businesses and the Innovative Partner to explore collaborations for a Net Zero future.

Explore ways to integrate the chosen innovation
Wrap up the funded engagement by discussing next steps for example, a potential trial or commercial contract.

Attend the innovation day
An event at County Hall to showcase outcomes, learnings and successes

The Established Organisations are all committed to delivering Net Zero. They are pro-actively seeking new ideas and opportunities to help with this. When pitching, you will have a captive audience of decision makers able to influence change if and where there is an opportunity to apply your innovation to their business.
