Meet our portfolio: Mykor
We are delighted to announce our latest investment into Mykor.
Demand for sustainable insulation materials is on the rise and Mykor’s first product, MykoFoam, could be the solution. It’s a carbon-negative insulation sheet made from fungi and waste that uses 90% less water, 40% less energy, and 60% less CO2 than traditional competitors.
Led by Valentina Dipietro and Olivia Page, Mykor has already won several grants from Innovate UK and the EU which have funded the early stages of their R&D.
The funds from this raise, with co-investment from Green Angel Syndicate and several angel investors, will enable Mykor to certify and launch MykoFoam, expand their team and develop a pilot factory, testing concepts for upcoming projects.
